The G-Cloud 12 framework provides UK public sector organisations with a way to find and buy cloud-based software and services to accelerate cloud adoption in a timely and cost-effective manner. Developed to streamline the procurement of external digital services, G-Cloud 12 is a framework agreement between the government and those suppliers who provide cloud software, hosting and support to help public sector organisations save on the time and cost of entering into individual procurement contracts.
About the Crown Commercial Service (CCS)
The CCS works with both departments and organisations across the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery. The CCS goal is to become the ‘go-to’ place for expert commercial and procurement services. With both service delivery and advisory capability, services include contract management and supplier performance management to ensure that the Government acts as a true, single customer; freeing up individual organisations to focus their procurement expertise on what is unique to them.
The CCS is playing a vital role in helping to protect front line services by delivering significant and sustainable cost savings through its commercial activity and aggregated procurement arrangements.
